Emergency Management
Mobilizing Jefferson County neighborhoods to prepare and support others in emergencies

In an emergency, are you prepared to take care of yourself, your family, your pets, livestock, etc. for over a 2-week period?

How about your neighbors? Are they prepared? If not, how might that impact
you during emergencies?

Across the United States local governments and ordinary citizens are thinking about what they can do to better prepare effective responses during emergencies. After the disastrous Katrina hurricane, much has been learned about the importance of local emergency planning and organized neighborhood teamwork.
This website provides tips about:

Diseases, Preparing at Home, When to Call 9-1-1Emergency Supplies, Flood Response,  Earthquakes and Health Translations.

Planning together now as a neighborhood should increase the chance that you and your immediate neighbors will be able to have the needed resources and team in place to keep everyone in your area as safe and as cared for as possible during major emergencies. Remember that when things get tough -

Together We're Better!
